Sophomore Daniel Huertas scored Iona men's soccer lone goal in a heart-breaking loss to Harvard on Saturday afternoon. In the opening moments of the game, senior Teddy Forson fed a long pass over the Crimson backline directly into the cutting lane of Huertas. The now two-time male student-athlete of the week one touched it toward net, the chipped in his third goal of the season over the oncoming Harvard goalkeeper. The Crimson would eventually win the game, 2-1, by scoring a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes. Huertas now has a team-high three goals on the season. Iona returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 2:00 PM with its first MAAC matchup against Saint Peter's. This weekend the Maroon & Gold travel to Fairfield.
